"If you don't plan to be early, you plan be late." I'm always reminded of the wisdom of my former youth pastor when I see folks running up the stairs to catch a train - usually as I'm walking down, and trying not to become part of an accidental tragedy. I'm not sure when it happened, but I committed long ago - to stop running for things I have no control over. Maybe I'm so committed to sticking with the swagger in my stride. Maybe I just don't like the overwhelming rush of pointless adrenaline (and the beads of sweat that come with it) that comes with just making the train. I'd rather have 15 extra minutes to read, refocus and reach out in prayer than be in an anxious spirit right before the work day. It's also that much harder to enjoy a hearty sandwich when your heart is racing.
Today's bow is another vintage find and one of my favorites for being as versatile as it is thin and small. It features a combination of silver, chocolate, light brown stripes accented with chocolate and green lines in between.
