Day 59

Anyone feelin' the back-to-work blues? Although my father-in-law would like me to believe that sleep is overrated, I think I just need some more sleep.

So what do you make of all this attention being placed on teacher evaluations being publicized in NYC? Personally, it doesn't move me one way or another. I know that I am doing my best to fulfill my responsibilities as a professional educator. I have many colleagues and coaches on hand that continue to push my professional growth. I've made my peace with God about life and at the end of the day, that's all that matters. I think it's dissappointing that many teachers feel personally offended by all this, but this has nothing to do with us. Who cares if my outdated data is published? Let's not allow ourselves to get distracted by things that have no significance to our daily battles. Keep fighting the good fight, my teacher friends. This too shall pass - and all that other good stuff.

Speaking of good stuff, here's another great bow from my friends at bowties.com. It features a combination of navy, orange and tan stripes ond a soft green printed silk. I think it's rather hip, don't you?
