There is no I in team, kids. Today the AF teachers take a day to step back and come together and reflect on our academic growth since August and our place in relation to our goal of having all of our students perform at or above grade level on the upcoming state exams. We share ideas, e-mail each other plans and thought-partner to plan parts of the next few weeks. It was uniquely refreshing to run into colleagues who I consider to be a great source of inspiration just based on our connection via social media. You know who you are!
This is the third bow tie I've had the pleasure of constructing by hand. It features some vintage comic book covers from the earliest incarnations of Superman - my favorite super hero of all-time. It took me about two hours from start to finish and although I took my time I still missed some steps. I'm particularly pleased I had enough fabric left over to use as a pocket square and perhaps I'll be making some small bows for my boys later this week. Happy Monday, folks!
