Day 83

Have you scored tickets to the Hunger Games, yet? Not me. Do you know how much it would cost for a family of 5 to catch a movie these day? That's right - too much. We prefer to wait until the DVD comes out. We can enjoy it on our "big screen" at home. We believe this practice not only saves us money, but teaches our boys to wait for things that are worth waiting for. If it's worth waiting for, then we'll enjoy it all the more as part of our collection, in the comfort of familiar company and not as a fleeting moment in the dark with strangers. Give me a nod if you get where I'm going with this.

Today's bow is another Vasquez original. I found the fabric on eBay and modeled the shape after another tie I already owned. I decided to take my time with this one, spreading the work out over three days - cutting the fabric and ironing on the interface one day, creating a new stencil and tracing it onto the fabric the next day and then sewing/cuting/ironing a third day. Perhaps I'll create a short video to show the folks at home what the process looks like.
