Day 166

It's the 184th day of school here and a large portion of the 6th graders are off on their End-of-Year trip, leaving me to teach those who did not earn a seat on the bus. It's an interesting dynamic these days, as I try to make it clear that while they should be frustrated with not having met their goal, they still have an opportunity to learn while their peers are away. To keep the kiddos engaged I've even started to teach some 7th grade content. Today we've started to talk about the Pythagorean Theorem with much success. Yay!

Speaking of successful execution, check out the guitars on this cotton bow by Xoelle. Amazing, isn't it? And you know I had to pair this plaid Penguin shirt with a pair of gray khakis just so that one little guitar wouldn't feel left out in the cold.
