Day 109



In anticipation of the state of testing our schools are in, I took a moment to share this video with kids yesterday, hoping they would be inspired to stop making excuses for themselves when faced with the challenge like, say, a pencil and paper test - which by far, is the easiest form of testing there is in life. I try to remind them as much as possible that there will be many more challenges that life will offer that test their character. Some get it, others see it as a few minutes where I show a video and give a lecture. I'd like to think that little by little their eyes are opening to the reality that exists around them, and their responsibility to respond to it appropriately.

Back to bow ties - today's bow is another Vasquez original - If you recall, I did a lot of sewing over my "vacation" last week. This one features a cool floral stripe pattern. I hope you like! If you have about a minute, check out the video below.
